Role Overview

Boots is seeking enthusiastic Trainee Dispensers to join our pharmacy team in Leven. This is an excellent opportunity to start your career in pharmacy, as no prior experience is required. Full training will be provided as part of the NVQ2 Dispenser programme.

In this role, you will support the pharmacist and healthcare team to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality pharmacy services. You will build strong relationships with patients, provide advice, and assist in dispensing prescriptions, making a real difference in people’s health and wellbeing every day.

Key Responsibilities

Complete the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 Trainee Dispenser programme.

Support pharmacists in prescription dispensing, including ordering, labelling, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.

Assist with the management and delivery of pharmacy services alongside other healthcare professionals.

Provide patient advice regarding medicines and refer complex queries to the pharmacist.

Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure safe and legal dispensing.

Support patients in managing prescriptions, promoting adherence, and reducing medicine waste.

Work with evolving in-store technologies to improve dispensing processes and patient safety.

Participate in ongoing training and career development opportunities, including the potential to progress to Pharmacy Technician or store leadership roles.

Essential Requirements

Desire to learn and complete the NVQ2 Dispenser training programme.

Current and valid UK right to work (this role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship).

Experience working in community pharmacy.
