About the Practice

Our friendly and inclusive team includes two fully qualified RVNs. There are also two student nurses. And a Veterinary Care Assistant. We have a dedicated front-of-house team. Plus a newly appointed Clinical Nurse Practice Manager.

The Clinical Director has 20 years of experience. He holds advanced practitioner status in Emergency and Critical Care. There is a postgraduate certificate in Feline Medicine too. And current training in Ophthalmology.

We handle a varied small animal caseload. It is predominantly cats, dogs, and small furries like rabbits, ferrets, and guinea pigs. We cover all aspects of internal medicine and surgery.

Typical procedures include routine neutering and castrations. We do advanced surgeries too. Things like splenectomies, GDVs, foreign body removals, cystotomies, nephrectomies. And caesarean sections.

We offer full abdominal and thoracic ultrasonography. Basic echocardiography as well. Full dental procedures with advanced dental radiography. Our ophthalmology caseload is growing. And we have plans to expand that service further.

Our equipment includes dental and standard X-ray. Ultrasound too. A fully equipped surgical theatre with multiparameter monitoring. Infusion pumps and syringe drivers. We plan to add a slit lamp and tonopen for ophthalmology services.

Tilehurst Vets for Pets is conveniently located west of Reading town centre. Near the River Thames. And the beautiful South Oxfordshire countryside. The practice is in a retail park. Easy access to shops and restaurants. Including KFC, McDonalds, B and M, Halfords, Pure Gym. And Waitrose.

With fast train links from Reading Central. London Paddington is just thirty minutes away. It offers convenience. And an excellent work-life balance.
