Job Description

Overview

The Bourne Academy is seeking a passionate and dynamic Technology, Engineering & Design Teacher to join our well-resourced department. Our department offers a broad and varied curriculum across all key stages, with excellent facilities including workshops, a CAD suite, a sixth form workspace, a theory classroom, and a well-stocked cutting room.

Curriculum

KS3: Students study Technology, Engineering & Design for 2 hours per week through a five-project curriculum covering engineering, design, and manufacturing.

KS4: Options include GCSE Design & Technology, GCSE 3D Design, and Cambridge National in Engineering, with Year 11 students studying their chosen option for 5 hours per fortnight.

A-Level: Students follow the Design & Technology curriculum for 10 hours per fortnight.

Role Responsibilities

Inspire and engage students in Technology, Engineering, and Design subjects.

Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that fosters innovation, creativity, and independence.

Collaborate with department staff and technicians to deliver a high-quality, well-organized curriculum.

Support the professional development of the department and engage in CPD opportunities.

Maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment.
