About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Addington School to join our PE and Outdoor Learning team. We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work alongside our PE specialists and class teams, supporting pupils with special educational needs to fully engage in high-quality PE and outdoor learning experiences.
This role will involve supporting the delivery of PE lessons, leading small group activities, running lunchtime clubs, and organising and participating in off-site sporting and outdoor learning events.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the delivery of PE and outdoor learning sessions.
Support individual pupils and small groups, promoting participation and engagement.
Set up and pack away large and small PE equipment, including a large trampoline (role is physically demanding).
Help lead and organize lunchtime clubs and off-site sporting/outdoor learning activities.
Work collaboratively with a dynamic, active team, while also demonstrating initiative and independence when needed.

Desirable Experience and Qualifications:
Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Background in PE, sports coaching, or outdoor learning.
Relevant qualifications in these areas would be advantageous.
