About UCL and the Role
University College London (UCL) Student and Registry Services supports over 50,000 students and 160,000 applicants. The Student Support and Wellbeing Services (SSWS) team provides advice, welfare services, and support for all enrolled students, including running student events.
As a Student Support and Wellbeing Business Partner, you will play a key leadership role within the SSWS team. You’ll act as the main link between SSWS and your assigned academic School, ensuring students receive coordinated and comprehensive support. You’ll manage a team of Student Advisers and help resolve complex student welfare cases, working closely with colleagues across the university to enhance the student experience.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary liaison between SSWS and an academic School.
Provide strategic and operational support for student wellbeing initiatives.
Manage a team of Student Advisers, supporting them in handling complex and sensitive student cases.
Promote SSWS services within the School and ensure student needs are met holistically.
Work collaboratively with the SSWS leadership team and other professional services.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong experience in higher education, especially in student services and administration.
Up-to-date knowledge of national and international developments in student support.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a high-pressure workload.
A calm and professional approach to handling challenging or sensitive issues.
