About Us

The Counselling & Mental Health Support Service at King’s College London provides specialist, coordinated support to our diverse student community. We play a key role in the university’s wellbeing and safeguarding structures, working closely with academic departments and professional services to ensure students have access to timely and effective care.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive administrator to support the work of the Student of Concern Management Group (SOC MG).

As the SOC MG Administrator, you will:

Work closely with the Student of Concern Mental Health team (SOC MH) to ensure robust case management and smooth administrative processes.

Prepare and distribute meeting documentation, maintain referral data across multiple systems, and coordinate follow-up actions.

Support internal communications, governance, and safeguarding procedures.

This role is vital to ensuring that students at risk receive consistent safeguarding and support through timely coordination. You will work within a small, dedicated mental health team while also liaising across the university to uphold safeguarding processes.

This is a permanent, full-time role (35 hours per week).

About You

Essential skills and experience:

Proven administrative experience, ideally in student support, mental health, or safeguarding.

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive data with accuracy and confidentiality.

Strong IT skills, including Microsoft 365 and case management systems (e.g., AdvicePro, Core.NET, or similar).

Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

A collaborative, flexible approach to supporting a team-based service.

Desirable skills and experience:

Experience in higher education, or in a mental health or safeguarding setting.

Familiarity with safeguarding principles, GDPR, and information governance.

Experience using SharePoint and supporting information management.

Knowledge of student support services in a university context.
