Staff Nurse (Ward 20) – Innovative Care Pathway

Are you a forward-thinking nurse looking to be part of a pioneering approach to patient recovery? Ward 20 is looking for dedicated Registered Nurses to join our team in supporting patients transitioning through the “No Criteria to Reside” pathway.

This is is not just another ward; it is a purpose-built environment designed to bridge the gap between acute care and community discharge. You will work within a fresh, safe, and supportive space where the focus is on high-quality nursing and therapy interventions for our 26-bed unit.

We are introducing a new concept of care, utilizing a mix of traditional nursing and newly developed non-registered roles. While the environment is fast-paced and demanding, it offers a unique chance to shape a brand-new team culture from the ground up.

Your Core Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse on Ward 20, you will be the backbone of patient safety and recovery. Your duties include:

  •  Comprehensive Care: Leading the assessment, planning, and execution of personalized care plans.
  •  Clinical Decision Making: Utilizing strong clinical judgment to manage complex patient needs in a busy environment.
  •  Collaborative Leadership: Working alongside a multidisciplinary team of therapists and support staff to ensure seamless patient transitions.
  •  Advocacy: Acting as a primary communicator for patients and their families during the discharge process.
