Role Overview:
As an AEH Certification Engineer, you will lead certification planning and regulatory compliance efforts for assigned products and projects within Aviation Systems. Your responsibilities will include developing certification strategies, conducting audits, and collaborating with project teams to ensure compliance with certification regulations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of product certification strategies and determine the certification basis.
- Manage compliance planning and define means of compliance for projects.
- Contribute to creating cohesive project plans and reviewing development artifacts.
- Perform certification audit pre-assessments for both internal projects and external suppliers.
- Audit project and product artifacts to ensure compliance with certification standards.
- Assist during Customer AR and Regulatory Authority audits.
- Collaborate with Integrated Project Teams to resolve audit findings, actions, and observations.
- Participate in industry working groups and support the development of staff through technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring.
- Develop and implement training modules as needed.
Qualifications:
- Direct experience or knowledge in ASIC, FPGA, and CPLD technologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance related to Advisory Circular 20-152 and RTCA/DO-254.
- Proven experience in demonstrating compliance to certification regulations.
Desired Characteristics:
- Knowledge of ASIC design and fabrication, including both fabless and foundry processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence others and lead small teams.
- Ability to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
