JOB DESCRIPTION

 

  • Use of NDT inspection technologies to discover surface and subsurface faults in engine components.
  • Prepare and process parts for inspection, interpreting indications and documenting inspection results.
  • Complete and document the appropriate Quality Control checks.
  • Maintain certification in compliance with EN4179 standards and company requirements.
  • Adhere to Company Procedure in all of its activities, but with special attention to the Quality system, EH&S, Compliance, and Integrity.
  • Ensure that the necessary documentation is completed in a timely manner and in compliance with the standards of the quality system.
  • Support Lean Six Sigma to continuously enhance existing processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a positive workplace climate.
  • Support problem-solving within the group and within the area of authority, in accordance with the quality system.
  • communicate well within a team.
  • Support the execution of daily targets within FPI to fulfil internal Gate and external Customer TAT.
  • Follow the Lead Mechanic’s leadership while attempting to accomplish team targets set by the Lead Mechanic and/or Cell Leader.
  • Liaise with the lead mechanic to support coverage of all shifts (annual leave, shift swaps, overtime, etc.).
  • Process Area Support
  • Liaise with Shop Support Functions, Engineering, and NDT Level 3 to resolve any process-related difficulties.
  • Raise maintenance-related issues with Lead Mechanic.
  • Deputise for Lead Mechanic as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Previous NDT Level II certification/experience in one or more of the following NDT disciplines: PT, MT.
  • Previous EN4179 Level II NDT certification/experience within the aviation industry in any of the following PT or MT
