About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Intelligence Analyst (SEO) to join our Investigation and Enforcement Services (IES) directorate. This role plays a crucial part in tackling economic crime, enforcing insolvency and company legislation, and supporting high-quality analytical work across the agency.
You will lead analytical projects, manage analysts, assure intelligence products, and support decision-making at operational, tactical, and strategic levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance the agency’s analytical capability.
- Manage and quality-assure intelligence outputs and reports.
- Supervise and mentor Higher Executive Officer (HEO) analysts.
- Evaluate intelligence from multiple sources, assessing reliability and relevance.
- Conduct and present intelligence analysis to support enforcement and prosecution.
- Produce analytical reports and brief senior stakeholders.
- Apply structured analytical techniques and promote best practices.
- Represent the agency in key meetings and briefings with government and law enforcement partners.
- Ensure continuous professional development for yourself and your team.
Essential Criteria
Completion of one of the following intelligence analysis qualifications (or equivalent):
- NAP – PHIA New Analyst Programme
- NIAT – National Intelligence Analysis Training
- GIAT – Government Intelligence Analyst Training
- DIAM – Defence Intelligence Analyst Module
- Intelligence Analyst (Level 4) Apprenticeship
- Proven experience in conducting intelligence analysis at a tactical or strategic level within the last five years.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience managing analysts or analytical teams.
- Understanding of financial crime, money laundering, or corporate misconduct.
- Experience producing operational, strategic, and tactical analysis.

- Technical Skill: Supervising and assuring intelligence analysis in law enforcement, defence, or national security contexts.
Selection Process
- The recruitment process uses the Success Profiles framework and will assess behaviours, abilities, experience, and technical skills.
- Sift Stage
- Online Civil Service tests (verbal, numerical, and judgement).
- Submission of CV and 500-word Personal Statement addressing the essential criteria.
- Interview Stage
- Virtual interview via Microsoft Teams.
- Assessment of experience, behaviours, and technical skills.
Timeline:
- Sift: Week commencing 10 November 2025
- Interviews: Week commencing 10 December 2025
