The Reading School of Pharmacy is looking for an outstanding individual to join us at Professor level. You’ll be stepping into a key leadership role, contributing to the strategic direction and growth of our pharmacy practice team and broader research environment.
You’ll work alongside a passionate and collaborative team of educators and researchers dedicated to improving healthcare outcomes and advancing the role of pharmacists through innovative education and practice. This is a unique opportunity to lead cutting-edge, research-led teaching that prepares the prescribing pharmacists of tomorrow.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and develop your own research programme in health services research
- Secure research funding and publish impactful work
- Supervise postgraduate students and mentor early career researchers
- Build strong, interdisciplinary research collaborations within and beyond the University
- Shape and enhance our pharmacy practice curriculum
- Contribute to REF submissions through high-quality research and impact case studies

- A strong track record of academic leadership
- Evidence of securing external research funding
- An excellent publication record in health services research or a related field
- A commitment to mentoring, collaboration, and team development
- A passion for innovation in teaching and research
