In this role, you will lead the configuration of our power distribution products for commercial aircraft platforms, overseeing the full product lifecycle from initial variants to aftermarket upgrades. You will apply your expertise in electrical power and utilities management to solve engineering challenges and design electrical systems and products for civil aerospace applications.

Key Responsibilities
As the Electrical Engineer, you will leverage your experience to support the development of aviation products that meet customer requirements. You will manage and prioritize your workload to address engineering, manufacturing, and testing issues, ensuring the product range is supported throughout its lifecycle.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Apply your electrical expertise to create and verify engineering design data for new power management panels in line with customer requirements.
Define technical instructions and specifications for the installation of service bulletins and retrofit packages.
Provide onsite support to production and manufacturing teams.
Lead the proposal process to ensure technically sound solutions are presented to customers.
Collaborate across functions and businesses to maximize technical results.
Investigate field issues and failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions, including updating design standards based on lessons learned.
Diagnose and resolve design problems in existing and new products.
Lead and participate in design reviews.
Provide guidance and share lessons learned to support new product launches.
Qualifications and Experience
Strong knowledge of electrical design and power distribution for AC and/or DC systems.
Understanding of electrical design, including wiring, relays, contactors, circuit breakers, and electrical panels.
Extensive experience with Siemens Capital Electrical Design Modules.
Ability to clearly communicate and formulate design concepts.
Understanding of safety and reliability principles in design.
HND/HNC or equivalent qualification from an accredited university or college (or relevant technical experience).
Familiarity with hardware engineering processes such as requirements definition, design validation, legacy support, and verification.
Experience with configuration control methods.
Knowledge of manufacturing, repair, and update processes for Electrical Power Management systems is beneficial.
Proven experience working in team environments to deliver products on time and within budget.
