About the Role
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to join the Sussex Projects Team at the University of Sussex.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the HR System Implementation Project. This project will modernise and streamline our HR and payroll operations by replacing the current system with a new, advanced SaaS solution. The implementation will automate manual processes, improve reporting capabilities, and enable data-driven decision-making, enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the HR division.
About You
In this senior role, you will be responsible for leading the HR system implementation project. We’re looking for someone with a proven track record of delivering large-scale, transformational system implementation projects involving complex data. Your expertise will help us drive the University’s ambition to become an employer of choice, ensuring staff can thrive in an efficient, well-supported environment. A qualification in PRINCE2 or equivalent experience is essential.
About Our Division
Sussex Projects was established in 2021 with the goal of centralising the selection, prioritisation, and control of all University projects and programmes. The division supports the University’s strategic objectives and capacity to deliver. Sussex Projects also champions best practices in project management to improve collaboration, standardisation, and project outcomes across the University.
Under the leadership of the Director of Strategic Projects and Change, the division oversees our ambitious £multi-million capital programme, a 10-year transformation delivering complex changes across four main portfolios:
- ITS
- Estates
- Research and Enterprise
- Education and Students
