Contract: Permanent
Working Pattern: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We are currently seeking applications for the position of Deputy Director of Estates.
Role Overview:
The Deputy Director of Estates reports directly to the Director of Estates and Infrastructure and is responsible for the effective leadership and management of the Estates function. This role includes overseeing the multi-disciplinary Estates Department, which provides services across estates operations (including cleaning and janitorial services), property management, space management, maintenance, capital projects, and student accommodation. The post holder will also lead the integrated Hard and Soft Facilities Management (FM) services for the entire campus and contribute to the overall management of both the GSA estate in Glasgow and Forres.
As a senior leader within the Estates Department, the Deputy Director plays a crucial role in the development of the department. They will lead and support institutional initiatives, including the Estates Strategy, encourage team collaboration, and ensure a holistic approach to departmental management. The post holder will also deputise for the Director of Estates and Infrastructure when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the multi-disciplinary Estates Department, ensuring effective delivery of services across estates operations.
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for both Hard and Soft FM services across campus facilities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Estates Strategy.
- Foster a collaborative environment within the department and across the institution.
- Deputise for the Director of Estates and Infrastructure as required.
