About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Developer to join our growing team. This is a hybrid role based in Coventry, offering the opportunity to contribute to diverse software projects across various industries, including technology, finance, and healthcare.

You will play a key role in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications that meet both business and client requirements. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities

Write, test, and maintain high-quality code in programming languages such as Java, C/C++, Python, and others

Design, build, and manage software databases

Lead or contribute to software development projects from inception to completion

Conduct debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning

Collaborate with development teams and clients to understand and meet requirements

Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and project timelines

Carry out software testing, including trials and quality assurance

Maintain existing systems and suggest improvements to enhance functionality and performance

Document development processes and maintain detailed technical records

Adapt to evolving project priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Programming Expertise: Strong knowledge of languages such as Java, Python, C/C++, and experience with GitHub

Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities

Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Project Understanding: Ability to approach tasks from both client and business perspectives

Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development practices is highly desirable

Work Style: Able to work independently as well as part of a team, managing multiple priorities
