About the Role
The Admissions Office is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Admissions Coordinator to support the smooth, professional, and efficient running of the University’s admissions operations.
In this role, you will primarily support the taught Postgraduate Admissions process, working as one of three Senior Postgraduate Admissions Coordinators. You will help ensure that all applications are processed quickly, accurately, and fairly.
Your responsibilities will include:
Making and checking admissions decisions.
Providing expert advice and guidance to Admissions Coordinators and Academic Reviewers.
Leading on specific functions within the postgraduate admissions cycle.
Supporting and motivating staff to deliver the highest standards of applicant service from application to arrival.
You will play an important role in maintaining an efficient and applicant-focused admissions service within a busy, friendly team of around 40 staff, covering Undergraduate Admissions, Postgraduate Admissions, and Scholarships. The team is overseen by the Associate Director of Global Admissions.
About You
You will bring a friendly, approachable manner and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You will have strong organisational abilities and a proven commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
We are looking for someone who:
Has substantial administrative experience, ideally within higher education.
Possesses extensive knowledge of postgraduate admissions processes.
Can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
Works effectively as part of a team but is also confident taking initiative and working independently.
Has a good understanding of UK, EU, and international qualifications.
Is familiar with UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) and Student Visa processes.
Experience working with international applicants and non-native English speakers is essential. Knowledge of fee status classification and assessment would also be an advantage.
