Exciting Opportunity: Senior Community Nurse / District Nurse – Integrated Teams in Redbridge
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Community Nurse or District Nurse to join our Integrated Teams in Redbridge. The ideal candidate should have a District Nurse certificate or at least two years of experience working as a Community Nurse.

Key Responsibilities:
- As a Registered Nurse (RN12-NMC), you will be responsible for a caseload of patients, assessing, planning, managing, and delivering high-quality care while being professionally and legally accountable.
- You will support your peers, team leader, and other colleagues, working effectively both independently and as part of the team.
- Supervise pre-registration students and be committed to collaborative working, liaising with other health and social care professionals, agencies, and services to provide comprehensive care.
- Lead and manage a community nursing team, aligned to local GP practices, ensuring the delivery of exceptional nursing care to patients and families in the community.
- Work as part of an integrated primary/community health care team, collaborating with GPs and other professionals, as well as statutory and voluntary agencies to deliver individualised care.
- You will work autonomously, providing leadership to the community nursing team while working within and across professional and organisational boundaries.

Starting with NELFT:
We place great importance on welcoming and inducting new staff. All new starters join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undergo a comprehensive two-week induction, including mandatory training, systems training, and equipment allocation. You will also have the opportunity to meet the executive team, senior managers, and participate in various engagement, health and wellbeing, and key process sessions. The induction will take place at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary Period:
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period unless currently partway through one or are a bank staff member.
High-Cost Area Supplement:
This post is eligible for a High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum payment of £4,551 and a maximum payment of £5,735), pro-rated for part-time staff.
