About the role

Culverhay Surgery is inviting applications from enthusiastic and compassionate Salaried GPs who are looking to join a well-established, friendly and forward-thinking practice. We are based on the edge of the Cotswolds, with three fully integrated sites serving the Wotton-under-Edge area and excellent transport links to Bristol, Bath, Gloucester and Cheltenham.

Our team and practice

Culverhay Surgery is a long-established training practice with:

  • 4 GP partners (including a Practice Manager partner)
  • 13 salaried GPs
  • GP trainers and GP registrars
  • Medical and nursing students
  • Advanced nursing team including nurse prescribers
  • Senior clinical pharmacist and pharmacy technicians
  • Frailty care coordinators, paramedic, social prescriber and counsellors
  • Highly experienced reception, secretarial and administrative teams focused on reducing GP workload

Main responsibilities

As a Salaried GP, you will:

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centred medical care as an autonomous practitioner
  • Deliver services in line with the GMS contract and local agreements
  • Maintain professional standards in accordance with GMC Good Medical Practice
  • Contribute to clinical governance, QOF, audit and service development
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team
  • Support education, training and supervision within the practice
  • Promote a positive, respectful and inclusive working culture

Person specification

Essential eligibility

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified GP
  • MRCGP
  • Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent (JCPTGP / VTS)

Experience

  • Experience working in UK primary care
  • Ongoing commitment to continuing professional development (CPD)
  • Experience of QOF, clinical audit and medicines management
  • Working knowledge of the GMS contract

Desirable

  • Experience of Integrated Care Board (ICB) initiatives
  • Pre-employment checks and sponsorship
  • Appointment is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975
  • Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates
  • Overseas applicants may be required to provide criminal record certificates from countries of residence
