About the Role
We are currently recruiting a confident, emotionally resilient female support worker to join our small, dedicated care team in Newark-on-Trent. You will be supporting a gentleman with complex physical and emotional needs in his own home. This role requires professionalism, emotional intelligence, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

Key Responsibilities
Working as part of a 2:1 team, you will:
Provide personal care with dignity and sensitivity
Support mobility and repositioning, including the use of hoists (with a colleague)
Prepare meals and assist with eating and drinking
Administer medication and monitor overall wellbeing
Offer emotional support while maintaining professional boundaries
Respond to challenging behaviours using agreed de-escalation strategies
Accurately complete care records and contribute to care planning
Support outings and promote meaningful daily engagement
Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with your team and management
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
Female (Occupational Requirement – Equality Act 2010)
Emotionally resilient, calm, and assertive
Able to manage challenging or provocative behaviour without reacting
Confident setting and maintaining boundaries
Comfortable stepping back when situations escalate
Reliable, consistent, and a good communicator under pressure
Willing to learn and follow structured care plans (training provided)
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
Must be able to fully commit to the fixed rolling rota
Shift Pattern:
Week 1: 3 week days (to be confirmed)
Week 2: 2 week days (to be confirmed) + Saturday and Sunday

Applicants must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate to Newark-on-Trent NG24
