About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant to support in vivo neuroscience experiments involving behavioural and physiological studies in mice.
You will play a key role in ensuring experiments are conducted accurately, ethically, and reproducibly. The role involves close collaboration with researchers to support data collection, organisation, and preparation for analysis.
This position offers excellent training opportunities in experimental neuroscience and the chance to contribute to impactful scientific research.
Key Responsibilities
Experimental Support
- Assist with behavioural and physiological experiments in mice
Support in vivo data collection and experimental procedures
Ensure high standards of accuracy and reproducibility
Animal Care & Welfare
- Handle and monitor rodents in line with ethical guidelines
Provide post-operative care where required
Ensure compliance with animal welfare regulations
Data & Research Support
- Organise and manage experimental data
Assist with preparation of datasets for analysis
Contribute to maintaining accurate lab records
Technical Skills
- Use basic programming tools to support data handling
Assist with experimental setup and laboratory workflows
Support ongoing lab operations and research projects
About You
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous laboratory experience in a research environment
Experience handling rodents and supporting in vivo studies
Understanding of experimental procedures and data collection
Basic programming or data analysis skills

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Highly organised and reliable approach to work
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
