About the Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Research Assistant to join the Horizon Europe project PHASE IV AI (project link
), which aims to advance next-generation healthcare delivery through Artificial Intelligence.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team of academic and industry experts to develop AI-powered tools such as AI Model as a Service and Synthetic Data as a Service.

The core focus of this position is to design and implement explainable AI (XAI) methods within a Federated Learning framework to identify populations at higher risk of lung cancer, prostate cancer, and other non-communicable diseases.

You will also contribute to developing interpretable machine learning models that integrate multimodal data sources, including:

Electronic health records (e.g., CPRD)

Medical imaging data (MRI, CT, PET)

Genomic data
