Role Overview
We are seeking an Experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who enjoys client-facing consultations, has a passion for a particular aspect of veterinary nursing, or wishes to develop further in surgical and in-house procedures.
Working Hours:
- Up to 40 hours per week, rota-based
- Includes 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (9:00–14:00)
- Consultations are 20 minutes with allocated catch-up blocks
Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse at Paisley Vets for Pets, you will:
- Provide high-quality clinical care to small animals, including feline and rabbit patients
- Assist in consultations, surgeries, and in-house procedures
- Monitor patient recovery and administer medications and treatments safely
- Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing advice and education
- Maintain accurate medical records in line with RCVS guidance
- Support colleagues and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive working environment
- Engage in continuing professional development (CPD) and training opportunities
Requirements
Essential:
- Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organisational and planning abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Interest in feline, rabbit, or surgical nursing specialties
- Experience with in-house surgical procedures and diagnostics
- Training & Development:
- CPD allowance supported and encouraged
