Job Summary
GE Aerospace is seeking a Site Quality Leader for its Bristol Robotics Services (BRS) team. In this strategic role, you will develop and execute a zero-defect quality strategy, strengthening the site’s quality culture and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
You will lead supplier quality assurance (SQA), cross-functional quality investigations, and root cause corrective actions (RCCA), while fostering strong collaboration with both internal and external customers. The role also involves growing and developing the local quality organization to support excellence in robotics, hardware, and software innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement quality assurance strategies to ensure all software and hardware products meet customer and regulatory standards.
Establish, manage, and continually improve Quality Management Systems (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent industry standards.
Collaborate across engineering, product development, and operations teams to integrate quality controls and risk management frameworks such as FMEA, DFMEA, and PFMEA into project lifecycles.
Support software testing, validation, and verification to identify defects, confirm functionality, and ensure compliance with safety and performance requirements.
Define, track, and analyse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Lead internal and external audits to verify compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Train, mentor, and develop quality teams to strengthen technical capability and embed best practices.
Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using structured methodologies such as 3X5 Why, 8D, and APPS (At Point Problem Solving).
Manage supplier quality performance, including audits and ongoing evaluation of vendor compliance.
Stay current with emerging technologies, regulations, and industry standards to ensure BRS remains at the forefront of quality innovation in robotics and software.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in Quality Management, ideally within robotics, aerospace, software development, or other high-technology industries.
Demonstrated success in implementing and managing QMS in line with ISO 9001 or similar standards.
Strong understanding of software testing, validation methodologies, and defect tracking systems.
Familiarity with robotic systems, embedded software, and hardware integration.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Desired Characteristics
Expertise in Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement frameworks.
Proficiency in software testing and defect tracking tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestRail).
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
Experience managing supplier quality systems and conducting supplier audits.
Understanding of regulatory and compliance standards relevant to robotics and software, such as IEC 61508, ISO 10218, and FAA FAR Part 21 / EASA / UK CAA Part 145.
Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment with evolving technologies.

This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, which must be maintained throughout employment.
