About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Property Administrator to support the management of the University’s diverse investment property portfolio, which includes prime commercial development land.
In this role, you will:
Maintain accurate property records and manage lease and property documentation in the Property Terrier system
Support the effective use of our CAFM system
Assist with business rates and finance-related tasks within the department
Provide administrative support to the surveying team to ensure smooth management of the portfolio

About the Property Team
The University of Reading’s Property Team manages a multi-million-pound investment portfolio of around 250 properties and related interests across all asset classes.
The income and capital generated are reinvested into the University’s research and teaching. The team is responsible for:
Commercial land development and asset management
Property valuations, disposals, acquisitions, and insurance
Providing RICS-accredited real estate expertise to academic schools and University leadership
About You
You will bring:
Strong administrative and organizational skills, ideally within a commercial or residential property environment
Proven experience in property administration, including maintaining tenancy records and CAFM systems
Ability to multitask, priorities, and problem-solve in a fast-paced setting
Strong communication skills to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, including tenants
Excellent IT skills, particularly in Word, Excel, and Outlook
Confidence in working with financial systems and data
A collaborative mindset and ability to contribute effectively to multi-disciplinary teams
