About the Role

Henley Business School is seeking an experienced and motivated academic to take on the role of Programme Director for our Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship in Digital & Technology Solutions Professional. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in shaping and delivering a progressive and expanding portfolio of apprenticeship programmes that are strategically important to the School.

The Programme Director will provide academic and strategic leadership, ensuring that the programme is aligned with the Apprenticeship Standard and Ofsted Inspection Framework, and that learners receive a high-quality, cohesive learning experience.

You will coordinate and bring together contributions from Module Convenors, Learning Coaches, and Apprenticeship Tutors to ensure smooth programme delivery. In addition to programme leadership, you will contribute to teaching, project supervision, academic tutoring, assessment, and feedback.

You will also be expected to engage in scholarship and applied research, ensuring teaching remains current and informed by the latest developments in policy, practice, and academic debate. Outputs may include white papers, case studies, working/discussion papers, or journal publications.

Key Responsibilities

Provide academic leadership and strategic oversight of the programme.

Ensure effective design, delivery, and continuous improvement of the curriculum.

Collaborate with teaching staff, coaches, and tutors to integrate all programme elements.

Contribute to teaching and module development, project supervision, and academic tutoring.

Undertake scholarship to maintain subject relevance and contribute to applied research outputs.

Lead on ensuring the programme aligns with apprenticeship quality standards and regulatory requirements.

About You

You will have:

A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management, or a closely related discipline.

Experience teaching in higher education.

Strong subject knowledge in areas such as computer science, software engineering, information systems, or data analytics.

A proven commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learner support.

The ability to work collegiately and contribute to the wider academic community.

This is a teaching-intensive post, fixed for three years in the first instance.
