Role Summary
We are seeking a Product Manager to lead Obsolescence Projects and OE Programmes at our Gloucester site. In this role, you will manage product lifecycles, resolve obsolescence challenges, and deliver critical programmes that support our strategic business growth. Working across functions, with suppliers, customers, and internal teams, you will ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and governance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage projects of varying complexity, ensuring scope, cost, schedule, and risk are effectively controlled.
Take programme leadership responsibility, including P&L ownership for assigned programmes.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
Drive Kaizen and Lean initiatives to deliver continuous improvement.
Manage product changes linked to obsolescence, reliability, cost reduction, or customer-driven requests.
Oversee product lifecycle management through the Tollgate process.
Lead project and programme reviews (internal and customer), ensuring robust financial, technical, and commercial governance.
Establish metrics to track and drive project performance.
Monitor and improve customer satisfaction through OTD (On-Time Delivery) and quality performance metrics.
Deliver accurate budgets and sales forecasts through business rhythms (e.g., S&OP).
Manage pricing, bids, proposals, and margin enhancement initiatives.
Identify, escalate, and resolve risks and issues impacting delivery, quality, cost, or safety.
Provide regular input to MOR metrics and business performance reviews.
Qualifications & Requirements
Degree in Business, Engineering, Law, or equivalent professional experience.
Proven experience in programme or product management within the aviation/aerospace sector.
Strong project management skills (scope, resources, and scheduling).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and numerical skills.
Track record of working in a matrixed organization.
Ability to travel internationally (up to 10%).
