Role Overview
An established UK energy organisation is seeking experienced Power Line Technicians to support critical electricity transmission infrastructure across the United Kingdom. This opportunity suits skilled professionals who are safety-focused, adaptable, and comfortable working in physically demanding, high-responsibility environments.
Assignments will vary depending on project scope and location, offering long-term stability alongside varied and challenging work. Visa sponsorship is available for suitably qualified international candidates.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
In this role, you will be entrusted with maintaining and constructing high-voltage transmission systems while upholding strict safety and quality standards. Key duties include:
- Carrying out power line construction and maintenance tasks in line with approved procedures
- Working safely at height on live and non-live transmission infrastructure
- Completing rigging, suspension, jumpering, earthing, and blocking operations
- Undertaking in-situ steel replacement work where required
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and engineering schematics
- Ensuring all activities comply with UK Health & Safety regulations
- Working collaboratively as part of disciplined, site-based teams
Working Hours
- 9–10 hours per day, subject to site and operational needs
- Overtime opportunities may be available depending on project demand

Skills & Experience Required
- To be considered, applicants should demonstrate:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in power line work or a closely related role
- Hands-on experience working at height
- Strong background in HV transmission line construction and maintenance (110kV+)
- Ability to operate safely in demanding outdoor environments
- Experience with puller/tensioner systems, tractor winches, or line erection (advantageous)
- A valid driving licence (assistance with UK conversion available if required)
- Formal technical qualifications are desirable but not essential if supported by strong practical experience.
