Working Hours
Average: 9–10 hours per day (based on operational requirements)
Key Responsibilities
Follow all Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
Carry out all power line technician duties safely and efficiently.
Perform rigging, blocking, suspension, jumpering, and earthing operations.
Conduct in-situ steel replacement on transmission structures.
Read, interpret, and work from technical drawings and schematics.
Maintain a professional, disciplined, and safety-focused approach to all tasks.
Work effectively within a team environment, demonstrating reliability and strong communication.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Power Line Technician or in a closely related position.
Proven experience in high-voltage (HV) transmission line construction and maintenance, ideally above 110kV.
Demonstrated ability to work at heights and follow safety protocols.
Desirable:
Relevant formal qualifications in electrical or transmission line engineering.
Experience with puller/tensioner equipment, tower erection, or tractor winch operations.
Valid UK or international driving licence (conversion support available if required).
Visa Sponsorship for International Applicants
Applicants from outside the UK may be eligible for Visa Sponsorship under the UK Skilled Worker Route.
Home Office requirements include:
Passing the UKVI IELTS or providing acceptable proof of English language proficiency.
Completing a clear Tuberculosis (TB) test, if applicable.
Demonstrating a clean immigration history.
