Are you a proactive, enthusiastic, and detail-focused individual with a passion for supporting patient care? King’s Mill Hospital is looking for a committed Pharmacy Assistant to join our busy and friendly pharmacy team. This role forms a vital part of our Stores and Distribution service, ensuring medications are delivered efficiently and safely across the hospital.

What You’ll Be Doing

As part of the pharmacy support team, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with clinical pharmacy staff on the wards, helping to maintain a smooth and reliable medicines supply service.
  • Processing medication requests for departments and wards, using both manual processes and our Automated Dispensing Robot.
  • Overseeing stock management — from receiving medicines into the Trust to maintaining accurate stock levels and ensuring proper storage.
  • Operating the automated dispensing system to issue, store, and retrieve medicines quickly and accurately.
  • Playing an active role in ensuring patients receive the right medicines at the right time.
