Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Registered Nurse to join the friendly and patient-focused Outpatients Department within the Snowdrop Breast Unit. This role is ideal for a motivated nurse with a strong interest in outpatient care who enjoys working both independently and collaboratively within a small, dedicated team.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality outpatient services, supporting clinics, and contributing to service improvement, while upholding the core values of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Facilitate outpatient clinics independently and alongside colleagues
- Carry out a range of clinical procedures, including:
- Phlebotomy
- ECG recording
- Wound assessment and management
- Doppler examinations
- Supervise and support junior staff and Student Nurses on placement
- Take responsibility for managing the outpatient area in the absence of the Department Manager
- Plan and coordinate daily workloads to ensure safe and efficient service delivery
- Participate fully in mandatory training, e-learning, appraisal (PADR), and NMC revalidation
- Actively contribute to departmental learning, service development, and quality improvement
- Working Pattern
- Main Outpatients services operate Monday to Friday
- Flexibility across the five-day working week is essential to meet service needs
Welsh Language Requirement
This role is advertised as Welsh Desirable. Welsh language skills are not essential, but candidates with Speaking and Listening skills at Level 3 (CEFR B2) or above will be considered favourably.
