Reception & Front-of-House Assistant – Student Information Centre (University of Warwick)
Location: University of Warwick
Hours: 36.5 hours per week (365 days/year)
Shifts: Between 07:00 – 22:00, 5 days over 7
Starting Salary: £26,038 per annum (annual progression until the highest grade point)
About the Role
We are looking for a customer-focused, self-driven individual to support reception and front-of-house services. This role plays a key part in providing an exceptional experience for 25,000 students and 100,000 conference attendees each year.
Responsibilities:
✔ Manage check-ins and check-outs
✔ Handle inquiries, complaints, and issue resolution
✔ Process payments and manage bookings
✔ Provide administrative support
✔ Assist in overseeing two reception desks during peak periods
About You
✅ Strong customer service experience (hospitality background preferred)
✅ Ability to work independently and within a team
✅ Excellent administrative and organisational skills
✅ Supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment
✅ Experience in hotel or student finance environments (desirable)
Shift Patterns
Term Time:
- Weekdays: 08:00 – 16:00, 12:00 – 20:00
- Weekends: 10:00 – 18:00
Vacation Periods:
- Monday – Sunday: 07:00 – 15:00, 14:00 – 22:00
