About the Nursery

An established, family-run nursery with over 40 years of experience is seeking a dedicated Nursery Manager to lead their vibrant team. Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, this warm and community-focused setting provides high-quality childcare for children aged 0–5 years.

The nursery fosters a family-feel environment where children’s and staff wellbeing is at the heart of everything. With strong links to the local community, they offer a fresh, energetic approach to early years education and pride themselves on a supportive and enthusiastic team.

The Role

As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and day-to-day operation of the nursery. You’ll work closely with the owners to maintain high standards of care and education, ensure compliance with statutory frameworks, and create a positive and inspiring environment for both children and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment

Ensure full compliance with all EYFS requirements, nursery policies, and safeguarding protocols

Lead and motivate a team of early years professionals, supporting their development and performance

Build strong relationships with children, parents, and carers, promoting open communication and collaboration

Oversee and support planning, observations, and assessments to track children’s progress and development

Ensure high-quality delivery of the curriculum and that all staff are trained and competent in its implementation

Take responsibility for health and safety, risk assessments, and security throughout the nursery

What We’re Looking For

Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (essential)

Previous experience as a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager within the last 2 years (references required)

Strong knowledge of child development and behaviour management strategies

Clear, enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to undergo a new check)

Confident leadership, team development, and communication skills

A flexible, enthusiastic, and engaging personality that children can connect with
