Job Description

Position: Registered Nurse
Location: Larkrise Care Home Centre, Banbury, Oxfordshire
Pay Rate: £21.47 per hour for days, plus NVQ and weekend enhancements available
Contracted Hours: 31 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, Monday to Sunday with alternate weekend working

As a Registered Nurse at Larkrise Care Centre, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality nursing and personal care. You will be responsible for leading and managing the care team during your shift, ensuring that care standards are met and offering clinical leadership and guidance as needed.

You will work closely with each resident, their key carers, family members, and the wider healthcare team, to deliver, monitor, and assess care needs. You will also collaborate with GPs, hospitals, and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.

About Larkrise Care Centre:
Larkrise Care Centre is located on a peaceful street in Banbury and offers personalised residential, dementia, and nursing care for up to 60 residents. The home is designed to create a calm and supportive environment with features that promote reminiscence therapy, enhancing the quality of life for residents living with dementia.

About You:

We’re looking for a qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) who is currently registered with the NMC. You should have post-registration experience and a commitment to continuing professional development. Additionally, you should be comfortable working autonomously, and possess a clear understanding of regulatory frameworks. Ideally, you’ll have experience or a willingness to train in areas such as:

  • Medication administration
  • Catheterisation
  • End-of-life care
  • Verification of death
  • Syringe drivers
  • Gastrostomy care
  • Venepuncture
  • Diabetic awareness
  • Tissue viability
  • Epilepsy awareness
  • Sepsis and deterioration management

You will have excellent communication skills and be a natural leader, capable of motivating your team to consistently provide high standards of care. You will be a positive role model for both residents and colleagues, dedicated to creating an environment of support and excellence.
