As part of our growth, we are seeking a Material Review Board (MRB) Engineer to join our team in Brock worth. This role focuses on supporting composite blade non-conformances, ensuring all components meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.
The Role
Reporting to the Engineering Analysis Manager, you will review non-conformances, assess defects, and develop technical dispositions to safeguard structural integrity. Working alongside experienced stress engineers, you’ll work towards becoming a concession signatory for composite blade concessions, while managing the daily flow of blades through MRB to meet operational targets.
This role is well-suited to engineers with experience in composite components in the aerospace sector, looking to expand their expertise and progress towards concession authority.
Key Responsibilities
Review manufacturing non-conformances and issue technical dispositions that ensure propeller airworthiness is maintained.
Work towards achieving concession approval status for composite blades.
Collaborate with Design, Stress, Airworthiness, NDT, and Operations teams to coordinate daily MRB throughput.
Support root cause investigations to identify and resolve recurring manufacturing issues.
Facilitate quarantine blade reviews, aiming to reduce stock held in quarantine.
Assist in selecting test blades to justify acceptance criteria.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company standards, and qualification requirements.
Essential Requirements
Minimum HNC in Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
Experience working with composite components in the aerospace industry.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and composite repair techniques.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Characteristics
Experience in dispositioning or approving concessions.
Understanding of stress analysis principles and how defects affect structural integrity.
Knowledge of structural tests used in certifying propeller blades.
