About the Role

We are looking for a Manufacturing Leader to oversee front-line manufacturing teams and help drive GE Aerospace’s core goals: Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC).

In this role, you will coordinate daily operations, support employees, and ensure alignment with business objectives. You will play a key part in promoting a safety-first culture, fostering teamwork, and applying lean manufacturing principles to improve performance.

Based at our Cheltenham site, which specializes in advanced aircraft power distribution and avionics systems, you will work on projects for both civilian and military aerospace customers. Key Responsibilities

Manage and support front-line manufacturing employees (hourly staff).

Coordinate activities to meet production, safety, and quality targets.

Apply lean tools (Kaizen, Standard Work, Hoshin Kanri) to improve processes.

Analyze issues, develop solutions, and drive continuous improvement.

Monitor performance metrics and use data to guide decisions.

Work with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery and alignment.

Promote accountability, collaboration, and compliance with safety standards.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

Relevant degree, diploma, or equivalent practical experience.

Strong background in manufacturing and operations.

Leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate teams.

Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Knowledge of safety standards and ability to embed a safety-first culture.

Experience with lean manufacturing practices.

Desirable:

Lean Six Sigma certification or similar qualifications.

Experience in aerospace or complex manufacturing environments.
