About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Fintech and Business Analytics to join our growing academic team. You will be responsible for delivering innovative and high-quality teaching across our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. You will also be expected to contribute to curriculum development, research, and industry collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
Deliver engaging teaching across Fintech and Business Analytics modules
Support students’ academic progress and personal development
Develop and update course content and assessments
Use innovative and inclusive pedagogic practices to enhance student learning
Lead or contribute to module/programme leadership, including student recruitment and support
Research & Scholarship
Engage in high-quality research or scholarship aligned with University priorities
Publish in relevant journals or produce impactful practice-based outputs
Work collaboratively with academic and industry partners on research projects
Support the REF (Research Excellence Framework) and other research initiatives
Other Responsibilities
Act as a personal tutor and provide academic support
Participate in open days, recruitment events, and other university activities
Contribute to administrative responsibilities such as admissions, assessment, or timetabling
Engage with industry to enhance curriculum design, placements, or consultancy
About You – Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
A good Honours degree in a relevant discipline
A PhD (or nearing completion) or equivalent professional achievement in Fintech, Business Analytics, or related areas
Fellowship of the HEA (or willingness to gain this)
Essential Experience
Experience designing and delivering modules in Fintech and/or Business Analytics
Familiarity with quality assurance processes in higher education
Evidence of research and/or enterprise activity (e.g., publishing, industry projects)
Experience working with industry to inform teaching or research
Skills and Attributes
Strong digital literacy and use of technology-enhanced learning
Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
Commitment to equity, diversity, sustainability, and student success
Desirable
Professional qualifications or certifications in analytics or financial technology
Experience supervising undergraduate or postgraduate dissertations
International teaching or research experience
Additional Requirements
Willingness to travel (including international trips for research or teaching)
Flexibility to teach occasional evening or weekend sessions
Participation in key university events (e.g. open days, graduation)
