We are seeking a Lecturer in Tourism & Aviation to join Teesside University International Business School. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of tourism and aviation education while contributing to research, enterprise, and real-world industry engagement.
About the Role
We welcome applicants for two contract types depending on your qualifications and career focus:
Academic Contract (PhD required) – Focused on teaching and contributing to the School’s expanding research profile.
Teaching, Scholarship and Professional Practice (TSPP) Contract – Ideal for professionals from industry with a focus on delivering outstanding teaching and engaging with employers, especially through Higher Degree Apprenticeship programmes.

What We’re Looking For
A strong background in Tourism and/or Aviation, either academically or professionally
A PhD (required for the Academic Contract), or significant industry experience for the TSPP route
A passion for high-quality teaching, student engagement, and applied learning
Experience or interest in research, enterprise collaboration, or apprenticeship delivery
Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and ambitious academic team
