About the Role

Ulster University is seeking a dedicated and forward-thinking Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Science to join our academic team at the School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to both teaching and research within a dynamic and supportive environment.

The successful candidate will be part of the Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Research Group, contributing to the development and delivery of high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. You will also support ongoing research activity within the School, with the opportunity to produce internationally recognized outputs.

This position aligns with the School’s continued efforts to meet the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC) standards for initial education and training of pharmacists, ensuring we remain at the forefront of pharmaceutical education.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality teaching in pharmaceutical science across a range of degree programmes.

Contribute to curriculum development and the implementation of the School’s academic strategy.

Engage in research that aligns with the School’s goals, generating internationally recognised publications.

Participate in administrative duties and contribute to the day-to-day running of the School.

Collaborate with research teams and contribute to active research themes within the School.

About You

Essential Criteria:

A PhD (or equivalent) in Pharmaceutical Science or a closely related field.

Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality teaching at university level.

A developing research profile with potential for producing internationally recognized outputs.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

A strong commitment to academic excellence and student success.

Additional Information

The post is based at Ulster University’s Coleraine campus.

The role is eligible for Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship, subject to UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requirements.

A 12-month waiting list may be created for similar future roles within the department or wider university.
