About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Lecturer in Health and Social Care to join our London campus on a part-time basis. You will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Health and Social Care and related areas such as Public Health.
This is an exciting opportunity to support diverse learners through teaching, assessment, and personal tutoring, using a variety of methods including lectures, seminars, and workshops.
Teaching areas may include:
Public Health
Epidemiology
Digital Health Promotion
Quality Assurance in Health and Social Care
Partnership Working and Service Integration
Mental Health
Ageing
Physiology and Psychology
You will support students across Certificate, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate programmes and play an active role in enhancing the student experience through high-quality teaching, feedback, and pastoral care.
Key Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Health and Social Care or Public Health
Design and deliver learning content and assessments that meet academic standards
Use varied teaching approaches (lectures, seminars, group tutorials, workshops, placements)
Supervise and advise students on academic work and progression
Provide academic and pastoral support as a personal tutor
Engage in scholarly activity and professional development
Contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement processes
Person Specification
Essential:
A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Public Health, Epidemiology, Health and Social Care, Digital Health)
Teaching experience in UK Higher Education at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level
Experience designing and delivering course content, assessments, and learning materials
Ability to support students from diverse backgrounds
Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
Good organizational and time-management abilities
Proficiency with IT and digital learning tools
Ability to manage competing academic and administrative responsibilities
