About the Role

The School of Psychology at the University of Sussex is seeking to appoint a Lecturer (education and scholarship-focused) with expertise in clinical psychology and mental health.

This role is a fixed-term position to cover teaching and assessment on existing undergraduate and postgraduate modules:

Child Clinical Psychology; Systematic Literature Review Dissertation

Clinical Psychology and Mental Health

Responsibilities include convening, delivering teaching, providing student support, and overseeing all aspects of assessment and feedback. The postholder will also supervise MSc dissertation projects on the Foundations of Clinical Psychology and Mental Health programme.

Comprehensive course materials are already available, and you will be able to adapt these as needed.

About You

This role would suit someone who has recently completed, or is close to completing, a PhD in psychology or a related field, and is looking to pursue a career in higher education.

You will bring:

Subject expertise in clinical psychology and mental health

Experience (or strong potential) in teaching and student support at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level

Strong organizational and communication skills

Commitment to high-quality education and student experience
