In this technical leadership role, you will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and improving aerospace electronics and power distribution systems throughout their lifecycle — from production introduction to in-service support.

You’ll lead root cause investigations, manage obsolescence, and drive design and process improvements, ensuring product reliability, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Provide post-design engineering support, conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Manage obsolescence activities, including redesigns, risk assessments, last-time buys, documentation control, and customer approvals.

Ensure adherence to Customer Contractual Documents (CCD) and internal engineering standards.

Lead and approve corrective actions, non-conformance reports, and product certifications.

Oversee re-qualification and verification testing activities.

Liaise effectively between customers, suppliers, and internal departments, ensuring alignment and transparency.

Support supply chain engineering activities, offering design expertise and technical guidance.

Lead investigations into customer returns, performing detailed root cause analysis and recommending improvements.

Track and manage product obsolescence, ensuring updates are cost-effective and compliant.

Identify and implement continuous improvement practices, capturing lessons learned and feeding them back into design and process teams.

Communicate progress clearly and regularly to peers, management, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.

Strong technical knowledge of one or more areas: analogue/digital electronics, electronic systems engineering, or mechanical design.

Solid understanding of the product design lifecycle, including qualification and verification methods.

Proven experience in engineering leadership or technical management.

Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.

Desirable:

Demonstrated ability to analyse complex problems and deliver practical solutions.

Strong decision-making skills with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.

Experience working in matrixed global organisations.
