Laboratory Assistant
Job Description
We are seeking to recruit a Laboratory Assistant to join the Princess Margaret and Elizabeth Creak Laboratory team. In this role, you will provide essential laboratory support, maintain high standards of cleanliness, and assist the central service support team that delivers laboratory services across the University.
Our team plays a key role in supporting practical classes for taught students, as well as assisting research students and staff in four main areas: Soils and Environmental Science, Microbiology, Molecular Biology and Animal Health, General Biology, and Nutrition.
We are a professional, technical team of 12 permanent staff members with diverse backgrounds and experiences, alongside two placement students.

To succeed, you will need a good general education, prior experience in a work environment that complies with health and safety regulations, excellent organizational and cleaning skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
