About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Lab Technician to support the Cell and Molecular Biology Unit (C&MB).
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing, maintaining, and organizing laboratory equipment, consumables, and materials
Managing inventory, supplies, and ordering processes
Supporting researchers and students with protocols, procedures, and day-to-day lab activities
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards
Assisting with routine experimental procedures when required
This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of a busy multi-user research environment.
Please note: This role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
Flexible working will be considered, but this position is not eligible for hybrid working.
About You
Applicants should have:
A BSc in Biological Sciences/STEM subject OR significant hands-on laboratory experience
Good knowledge of laboratory techniques and health & safety procedures
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a practical approach to lab work
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
