The Role

We are seeking a practical, motivated, and well-organized Lab Technician to support the Cell and Molecular Biology (C&MB) Unit.

The post-holder will play a key role in the smooth running of the multi-user laboratory, providing day-to-day technical and operational support. Responsibilities include:

Preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment, consumables, and reagents.

Managing inventory, supplies, and ordering.

Supporting lab users with established protocols and procedures.

Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and laboratory standards.

Assisting with routine experimental procedures when required.

This role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

About You

Applicants should have either:

A BSc in Biological Sciences or a related STEM discipline, OR

Significant equivalent laboratory experience.

You will bring:

Good working knowledge of laboratory techniques.

Awareness of laboratory health and safety requirements.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Flexible working: May be considered.
