JOB SUMMARY

Student recruiting is in charge of delivering the university’s student recruiting targets in both domestic and international markets by implementing its plan to achieve progressive expansion in core and nominated areas.

Joining the busy International Recruitment team, you will be primarily responsible for managing relationships with key stakeholders such as education agents and scholarship bodies, as well as collaborating with team leadership on activities that support international student recruitment in general.

With a degree in Marketing or a related field, you will have substantial experience working in a sales-oriented, service-driven culture. You will have expertise delivering events, working in a sales environment, and marketing internationally. We may also examine applications from recent grads with sales or marketing experience.

Your responsibilities will also include working unsociable hours (evenings and weekends) and covering events overseas.

Job Description.

Responsible to: Regional Manager.

Responsible for student recruitment in designated markets.

PURPOSE OF POST: Conduct student recruitment activities to improve enrolment at Robert Gordon University. Representing RGU in the market with the goal of increasing awareness and developing partnerships with prospective students, recruitment agents, sponsorship organisations, and other key players.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

To meet student recruitment targets in specified markets, contribute to the formulation of market plans and successfully manage budgets in order to maximum return on investment in each designated market.

Assist international agents and teams with marketing materials, social media campaigns, and event preparation.

Liaise and network with peers from different institutions.

Verify the accuracy of commission invoices before confirming payment on behalf of the International Student Recruitment team.

Assist the International Student Recruitment team by creating reports on all partner/sponsor performance.

Represent the department to stakeholders internally and externally.

Advise, teach, and inspire designated partners to actively and enthusiastically recruit for the University.

  • Undertake and deliver day-to-day administrative responsibilities such as addressing student questions, hosting information webinars, collecting information pamphlets, and analysing the impact of such activities.
  • Coordinate with academic colleagues to allow them to participate in strategic recruitment activities.
  • Continually strengthen internal and external contacts through information sessions and bringing visitors to the university.
  • Work on social media campaigns to promote scholarships, gathering content from existing students to do so.
  • Coordinate and represent the University in student recruitment exhibitions both domestically and internationally, including giving specialised presentations.
  • Any other reasonable duties that are commensurate with the level of this position.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications and Professional Membership

  • First degree, preferably in marketing or a related field.

Experience

  • Experience with event delivery
  • Experience with foreign markets/marketing
  • Experience working in sales-focused environments.
  • Extensive experience working with internal and external customers to provide efficient and effective services.

  • Membership in the Chartered Institute of Marketing or comparable professional accreditation/membership

Knowledge

  • Knowledge about higher education and the admissions procedure.
