We are now looking for certified social workers for our Assessment Team and our Children and Families Social Care Teams.
As a Social Worker on the Assessment team, you will work in a fast-paced atmosphere to provide short-term assistance and support to families. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with families to identify concerns about a child’s or young person’s safety or well-being, examine the risk and protective variables in the family, and choose the most suitable support.
As a Social Worker in the Children and Families Social Care Teams, you will develop long-term relationships with children and their families. In this diverse role, you will respond to, coordinate, and offer social care services to children, young people, and their families with a child in need plan or a child protection plan, including those involved in PLO and court procedures.
We will create a supportive environment in which your practice can thrive and contribute to excellent results for our children, young people, and families.You will work in small, pleasant teams, with a controlled caseload, and be given with excellent learning materials. You will also receive additional personal assistance from an advanced practitioner, regular supervision, tailored learning and development, and outstanding post-qualification options.
To be considered for an interview, you should:
- Obtain an appropriate social work qualification.
- Become registered with Social Work England.
- Have passed your ASYE year (please note that we operate a separate curriculum for newly certified Social Workers through our ASYE Academy).
- Have sympathy and awareness of the needs of children and families.
- Have understanding of relevant legislation, guidelines, and procedures.
