Nurse at Waverley House: £21.10 per hour.

*Sponsorship is urgently available for applicants in the UK with a valid NMC.

Shaw Healthcare is seeking a Nurse to join its team in Waverley House, Leominster.You will join a team that is completely dedicated to making a difference in the lives of individuals we care for. About the service:

Waverley House Care Home is located in the market town of Leominster, Herefordshire, approximately 12 miles from Hereford Town Centre. We provide professional nursing care for 47 senior residents, including those with dementia. Using independent living approaches, we strive to provide the best possible quality of life for our residents for as long as feasible.

The facility has a good reputation for taking an innovative approach to aged care, and our cheerful care team participates in a variety of regular training programmes.We are searching for a caring and devoted Care Home Nurse to join our team and provide high-quality care to our elderly service users who have Alzheimer’s, dementia, Parkinson’s, or other clinical illnesses. The chosen candidate will work closely with our team of carers to ensure that our service users receive the best possible care.

Key responsibilities:

• Developing care plans after assessing patients’ health and care requirements.

• Providing medication and monitoring service users’ responses.

• Providing nurse care, including wound and palliative care.

• Working with other healthcare providers to coordinate tailored treatment.

• Assisted service users with daily routines such as showering, clothing, and toileting.

• Offering emotional support for service users and their families.

• Keep accurate and up-to-date records.

• Adhering to Care Quality Commission (CQC) rules to maintain high levels of care.

• Helping to establish and implement policies and procedures.

• Taking part in the induction and ongoing training of new staff members.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

• NMC-registered nurse

• Worked in geriatric care, caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related diseases.

• Understanding of the Care Quality Commission’s (CQC) policies and standards

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work well in a team.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

• Dedicated to ongoing professional development.

Salary: £21.10 per hour

Working hours: Full-time (36 hours a week) – days.
