JOB SUMMARY

 

Lecturer in Drama.

Department: School of Arts and Humanities.

Grade: 7/8.

Responsible to the Head of School.

Campus: Derry/Londonderry.

(Fixed term/Full-Time 6 January 2025 – May 31, 2025)

 

Job Purpose:

The primary responsibility of the post is to provide undergraduate teaching and assist learning in Drama and other subject areas as needed. This includes, but is not limited to, coordinating and teaching current modules, assisting students with autonomous study through successful use of the BlackBoard Ultra virtual learning environment, student assessment, and project supervision. You will collaborate closely with the rest of the teaching team to create collaborative projects with students, industry partners, and colleagues from other disciplines around the school and faculty.

While the post’s emphasis is on contributing to the delivery of taught provision and student experience support, the successful candidate will have access to research support through UoA33 Music, Drama, Dance, Performing Arts, Film and Screen Studies, which is ranked joint first in the UK for world-leading 4* research impact and has 73% of its research judged as world-leading or internationally excellent in REF2021.
