JOB SUMMARY
An exciting and gratifying opportunity exists for a highly professional and driven Registered Nurse to join our vibrant, forward-thinking multi-specialty Outpatient Team.

At Chard Community Hospital, you will be part of a cohesive team that provides patient support in a number of clinics such as rheumatology, dermatology, respiratory medicine and ENT.

Main responsibilities, tasks, and abilities required
Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based nursing care programmes for a specific group of patients.
Actively participate in establishing and sustaining high standards of quality nursing care.
As the Nurse in Charge, you will coordinate shifts on a daily basis and support all members of the outpatients team.
Act as a clinical and professional role model by assessing and supporting students and learners on clinical placements.
This role may require frequent walking and standing for extended amounts of time. The job holder must be physically capable of using manual handling equipment such as hoists, carts, and wheelchairs.
You will be supported and encouraged to participate in training to ensure your competency in a number of clinics within the Outpatient Department, including becoming a Light Therapist and other nurse-led clinics as service demand requires.
You may be expected to work at other Trust sites in addition to your primary base. Specifically, flexibility is essential across community hospital sites. Travel reimbursement would apply to either a permanent or temporary change of base.
