JOB SUMMARY

• Provide professional leadership, advise, and direction to junior nurses and healthcare assistants while also fostering collaborative partnerships with other disciplines.

• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, ensuring that correct and seamless information is communicated and documented.

• Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of agreed-upon standards, ensuring that any shortfalls are reported to the line manager.

• Ensure that all quality efforts in the nursing environment are followed and that the highest level of care is maintained at all times.

• Contribute to the formulation of clinical protocols, ensuring that they are reviewed in accordance with the needs of the service in collaboration with the Ward manager.

• Ensure that correct and readable patient records are maintained in accordance with professional and legal standards.

• Foster and maintain positive working relationships and communication with consultants, medical personnel, nursing colleagues, and other multi-agency professionals.

• Required to work across all areas of the Trust.
To offer effective patient care as a member of the nursing team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust (EKHUFT). To maintain high levels of patient care in response to service needs.

The position will need the holder to work on different EKHUFT sites in order to meet service needs and guarantee that employees maintain and grow their abilities.
